OverviewThis book is dedicated to those unable to verbally express the rage coursing through our nation. Our society has been plagued by social inequality and institutional slavery. This country is burning amber, waiting to be ignited by a single spark. I created this collection of poetry to ignite that fire. I hope this book evokes emotions and generates conversations about issues in the black community. Pieces such as ""ICE Police"" and ""Slave to Immigrant"". They speak to the past and present. How history is always repeating. The book glazes over LGBTI+ struggles and shines a light on issues that impact women. Poems such as ""Splinter"" and ""Black"" is not a Color. These poems are subtle in their message. They represent a deeper conversation, while underscoring the inner struggle within our community. I wanted to express my thoughts on the removal or diminishment of constitutional privileges. Pieces such as ""Broken System"" and ""Death of Democracy."" Black women are beautiful and resilient. ""Black Girl Magic"" and ""Soul of the Community,"" are tributes to Black queens. This collection of poems embodies my unfiltered emotions on each page. Cataloging issues that impact our community. Illustrating fragility within our society. While documenting the tragedies of time. I hope my words reach your heart and soul. Ignite a fire in your belly to act or create. Leave your mark on this world to inspire others.
