Robert Lawrence France is a leading environmental scholar who has taught at Ca Foscari University, Harvard University, and McGill University. He is the author of numerous journal articles and the author or editor of several books, including Deep Immersion ; Healing Natures, Repairing Relationships ;and Wetlands of Mass Destruction. Ann Haymond Zwinger is the author or coauthor of several books, including AConscious Stillness: Two Naturalists on Thoreau's Rivers ; Run, River, Run, for which she was awarded a John Burroughs Memorial Association Gold Medal for distinguished contribution in natural history; and Shaped by Wind and Water: Reflections of a Naturalist. Roderick Frazier Nash is a professor emeritus of history and environmental studies at the University of California Santa Barbara. He is the author of The Rights of Nature: AHistory of Environmental Ethics and Wilderness and the American Mind.
