As an aspiring public speaker, I came to this book hoping to find something that I could use to concretely help me towards my goal. After reading, I can say without hesitation that I got a ton of actionable advice and tools that will help me on my path. The author doesn't make it sound easy, necessarily, to become a paid speaker, but I was impressed by the sense that he shared honestly about everything that it would take to become a success in this business. It also helped that he's a good, clear, well-organized writer -it's easy to engage with his text and enjoyable to hear him educate about what needs to happen in order to move further along the path. I'd recommend this book to anyone hoping to break into speaking. And as a bonus, it's culturally wise, heralding diversity within the speaker business - this feels important for this present moment.
