Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationDr. Lubinski is a Professor in the Department of Communicative Disorders and Sciences at the University at Buffalo, SUNY. She has published several texts, including Dementia and Communication, Communication Technologies for the Elderly, and A Guide to Cultural Competence in the Curriculum: Speech-Language Pathology, along with more than peer-reviewed articles. A Fellow of ASHA, she speaks nationally and internationally on topics related to aging and communication, as well as professional issues. Melanie W. Hudson, an ASHA Fellow, is a Director at EBS Healthcare. She has over 30 years of experience as a speech-language pathologist in public schools, and has also worked in private practice and university settings. She currently serves as the Vice Chair of the ASHA Speech-Language Pathology Advisory Council, and will begin a 3-year term on the ASHA Board of Directors as SLPAC Chair in 2016. She is currently serving as a member of the ASHA Board of Ethics. She served on ASHA's Board of Special Interest Group Coordinators as the Coordinator for Special Interest Group 11, Administration and Supervision, and on ASHA's ad hoc committee on Supervision in 2013. She is co-editor and chapter author for the 4th edition of Professional Issues in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, (Lubinski & Hudson; Delmar, Cengage Learning, 2013). She is a former President of the Georgia Speech-Language and Hearing Association, and received their Honors of the Association Award in 2014.
