W niniejszym badaniu Sporotrichum thermophile ATCC 42464 zostal użyty do produkcji proteazy serynowej przy użyciu fermentacji na stalym podlożu (SSF). Jako źródlo węgla zastosowano otręby pszenne (12,5 g). Zoptymalizowano warunki hodowlane, takie jak zawartośc wilgoci (MSS-12,5 ml), pH (5) i czas inkubacji (48 h). Aktywnośc enzymu spadala w obecności inhibitorów (mocznik, SDS) i chelatorów (EDTA), podczas gdy obecnośc jonów metali, zwlaszcza Mg2+, powodowala wzrost aktywności proteazy serynowej. Maksymalną aktywnośc enzymu wynoszącą 18,84 U/g zaobserwowano w zoptymalizowanych warunkach.
