Patricia Frick, Ph.D. (2006), is curator of East Asian lacquer art at the Museum of Lacquer Art in Münster, Germany. She regularly publishes work in the field of East Asian arts and crafts. Annette Kieser, Ph.D. (2000), is a research fellow at the Institute of Sinology and East Asian Studies, University of Münster, Germany. She has published numerous monographs and articles on the art and archaeology of China.
