Praise for Producing for TV and New Media, Third Edition Eric Scholl Associate Professor, Columbia College Chicago This is easily the most complete overview of the television producer's job and responsibilities. Required reading for all of our TV students. Evan Meaney Associate Professor, University of South Carolina Producing for TV and New Media: A Real-World Approach for Producers is an invaluable education for those interested in becoming a successful producer. Comprehensively examining current trends and standards, the authors help to prepare their readers for any production scenario, big or small. I would consider this required reading for anyone interested in media. From new-to-the-game web-producers looking for tips to seasoned pros looking to take the next step, the [book] offers something for everyone. Sasha Waters Freyer Professor, Virginia Commonwealth University The focus on new media, new markets, deliverables and the legal ins-and-outs of producing make Producing for TV and New Media the most comprehensive book addressing the newest challenges of the small screen, and of our increasingly mobile, multiplying home screens, in ages. Ashley Maynor Director, Library Lab, New York University I was very impressed with how the book covers so much ground - from technical aspects of each stage of production to legal and licensing issues. The interviews and conversations with pros in the field, which comprise a full chapter of the book, are especially insightful and help to make this text unique.
