Overview

Jonah and the whale is perhaps one of the most famous Bible stories. Jonah is often portrayed as one of the worst prophets. However, within this Biblical narrative lies a profoundly different understanding of who Jonah was. There was an ancient prophetic practice that would allow the mystics, sages and prophets to ascend to the throne of God and see Messiah face-to-face. Stars of Influence uses the book of Jonah as a platform to explore this ancient practice and other mysteries connected to Jonah. This text, Prodigal Prophet?, describes (through word and imagery) how Jonah formed and rode the Merkabah, encountered Christ, and became as the Word. This book contains the Jonah portion of the book, Stars of Influence, plus the Supplement to the Stars of Influence (including a new interpretive translation of Kol ha Tor by Gaon).
