Excerpt from Proceedings of the Society of Antiquaries of London, Vol. 8: January 9, 1879, to June 23, 1881 Some of the coffins (not very many now, whatever may have been the case originally) are inclosed within a rectangular structure, barrel-vaulted, and forming a sepulchral chamber about 10 to 12 feet by 7 to 8 feet, and the construction is entirely of mortar mixed with minute fragments of brick or tile, like the Roman mortar, but not nearly so hard.
