Excerpt from Proceedings of the Eleventh Michigan Classical Conference: Held at Ann Arbor on the Thirtieth and Thirty-First Days of March, One Thousand Nine Hundred and Five The regular sessions of Thursday morning (commencing at eight o'clock), Thursday afternoon and Friday afternoon were given to the reading and discussion of papers. Thursday afternoon at o'clock Professor Andrew F. West, of Princeton University, gave an address on The Lost Parts of Latin Literature; on Thursday evening, a joint session of the Classical and Modern Language conferences was held, to listen to an address by Professor William Gardner Hale, of the University of Chicago, on Prevailing Methods in the Study of Mood - Syntax in the indo-european Languages, which was preceded by an interpretation of the remains of ancient Greek music.
