He has been engaged in research on rockburst in deep engineering. He is a provincial high-level talent and was first selected into the Young Elite Scientists Sponsorship Program by China Association for Science. And he is the councilor of underground engineering branch, the councilor of mining rock mechanics branch, the member of youth commission committee of Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering. He was served as guest editor in chief / editorial board member of more than 10 international journals, and reviewer of more than 50 journals. He presided over 3 projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China and 1 sub-project of National Key Research and Development. He has authored/co-authored more than 100 papers, in which 6 are ESI highly cited papers and 1 is ESI hot paper.
