He was formerly COO of The Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts and Director/Master Printer of its program, Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop. He has taught at Penland School of Craft, Stanford University, and San Francisco State University and lectured extensively including Pratt Institute, Royal College of Art, MoMA, and elsewhere. Works that Sanders has printed with contemporary artists are in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, MoMA, the Library of Congress, and numerous other institutions.
