It is aimed at the radiographer and as such covers a wider range of topics than would be required by an assistant practitioner and covers all topics in more detail than necessary at this level. I would recommend it as an essential text at foundation degree level because of the clarity of explanation of a subject which can be difficult to grasp. Principles are clearly explained throughout and are supported by diagrams or charts where appropriate providing visual clarification of some complex principles. It is certainly worth reading the relevant sections and would be a useful reference book in any imaging department or hospital library. <p/>- Heather Robinson, British Journal of Healthcare Assistants, February 2008, Vol 02 No 02.
