He has published over 500 primary papers and reviews and is a principal inventor on 14 patent filings. He has also written and edited several books on nucleic acids and anti-cancer drugs. Mark Sanderson is a Visiting Professor of Biophysics in the Dept of Metabolism, Digestion and Reproduction, Faculty of Medicine, Imperial College London. Recent structural studies in his laboratory have centred on type-II topoisomerase–DNA–drug complexes in collaboration with Prof. Mark Fisher’s group at St. George’s University of London using cryo-EM and X-ray crystallography, and the study of novel nucleic acid–protein complexes.
