The book is a good, readable overview of cattle production and the industry worldwide. For students of agriculture and veterinary science, it provides great background reading to go alongside husbandry and stock-keeping titles. I believe it benefits greatly by being compact and concise, making it s useful addition to a student's bookshelf. --Jude Roberts Author InformationClive Phillips studied agriculture at undergraduate level and obtained a PhD in dairy cattle nutrition and behaviour from the University of Glasgow in 1983.
