Children who read this book will receive a gentle lesson about kindness and generosity. I think girls, in particular, will like that the main character is a princess. Beautiful illustrations. * Besides just being a delicious read, I appreciated that the Princess thoughtfully took on the boy's problems considering their needs beyond giving money. * Princess to the Rescue is a delightful book for children, especially girls. The story is simple enough for even young children to understand, yet complex enough to make it interesting. The illustrations are colorful and original. I loved the heroine who was sympathetic to her friend's situation and determined to help her father resolve the problems. It is unusual to see such a strong character and role-model for girls in a children's book. This is a book that I will enjoy reading over and over to my grandchildren. * A beautifully illustrated tale of compassion, courage, and problem solving in children, aided by the King. I love that the solution involved responsibility and action, not just a handout. * What a beautiful book! I loved that the main character is a strong, compassionate girl. The princess is a wonderful problem solver who goes to her father to help a boy in need after really looking into the situation. Looking forward to more books written by Carol Caldwell. Author InformationCarol Caldwell graduated from the University of Southern California with studies in English and art. She has always loved writing and the special magic of storytelling. Putting her stories on paper had to wait until she raised her own family, but with the arrival of grandchildren, the storyteller would no longer be denied. Carol has been published professionally for a number of years and is active in writers' associations and workshops. For almost twenty years, she was a participant in the foreign exchange student program as an administrator and a hostess. Many are the stories she has to tell! Dominique's passion for drawing and illustration started at a very young age. Growing up, Dominique always loved telling stories, but one of her favorite ways to express those stories was through pictures and illustration. Dominique was born with a rare form of Dwarfism, which has resulted in 22 surgeries throughout her lifetime- including hip replacements at age 14, cleft palate reconstruction surgery, and neck/spinal decompression surgery. In 2016, she graduated from the Art Instruction Schools with a Certificate in the Fundamental of Arts. Currently, Dominique spends her days drawing, writing for her upcoming book, and being with her family. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
