Overview

Renee is a single mother to twins Boone and Bonnie. Since the twins' birth, the three of them have been a tight, close-knit family. But when the missing father arrives after twenty-three years of absence, the family's insecurities, individual and whole, become more prominent. Renee has wanted nothing more than the return of her Erebus, the god of darkness and the man she loves, but his return only raises more uncertainties. Bonnie has always felt like the odd one out, and her father's return could help her with her burning questions-if she can open up to him. Boone's party boy façade has been hiding the building pressure of being the man of the house and of being responsible for his sister and his mother. K. L. Turnbull's greatest passion is reading because it can whisk her away to other worlds. She started writing as a young teenager to release her stress and emotional turmoil, and now that her children have grown, writing has helped her find herself again.
