Author Information

Jim McCollum was born and raised in Western Wyoming. Inspired by the people, the landscapes and the wildlife, he developed a deep admiration for the small pocket of paradise that he was fortunate enough to call home. Jim began his passionate writing journey in middle school and has enjoyed writing short stories and poetry and sharing life's picture in word since. Through his unique writing style and reflection of life he paints a picture romance, love, loss, and Western beauty in his poetry. He raised his 2 daughters, Cheyenne, Roice and his son Marine Lance Corporal Rylee J McCollum, KIA Abbey Gate, Kabul Afghanistan 08.26.21, in the small community of Jackson Wyoming. The Western heritage and Wyoming roots have always held an appeal to Jim and his kids. Writing provides a therapeutic release. Life's lessons, loves, losses, and adventure are captured through the serenity in the shadows of the Tetons and high-altitude desert of Western Wyoming.
