A Policy Paper that outlines how we got to where we are with health care in the United States and a path to solving the cornerstone issues of availability and cost. Looking for the government to be the solution provider to the problems they cause is pure folly and this book will demonstrate how health care may be the prime example. Government has caused the rise in healthcare costs by diminishing supply while increasing demand. Health insurance, while seen by individuals as their true health care cost (insurance premium cost plus a deductible) is still only a derivative of the true costs of products, services and providers. When the government chose to meddle further in health care with their own program of insurance in Obamacare, in addition to medicare and medicaid, they furthered the meddling that began in earnest in the 60's and has continued ever since. This book will illustrate how we got here in the first place and why the government is the last body you want to solve it by essentially taking it over and taking over one-fifth of our economy. Moreover, the plan for solving the true costs of health care and thus the derivative cost of health insurance is outlined in the enclosed, and it doesn't involve intervention or control on the government's part. Instead, the government will play referee, not unlike the referee in a football game. Carry the rulebook, throw the flag and blow the whistle, but they won't play the game. Instead, the free marketplace will take over, the VA will be dismantled and turned over to the private sector and pre-existing conditions and uninsured will be covered.
