Preschool Academics: It's Child's Play: A Basic Curriculun for Toddlers to Kindergarteners

Overview

A good preschool program is one that merges academics with play to create an environment where learning takes place. This handbook is a basic guide outlining strategies for establishing a child-centered program in which meaningful learning is incorporated into every minute of the day and every area of the curriculum. The book is designed to meet the needs of both beginning and experienced teachers. It includes classroom ideas and activities, photographs, examples of student work and responses and many charts, forms, and checklists to make the teacher's work easier--after all, a teacher's job should also contain some playfulness!
