Author Information

After receiving his Ph.D. from the University of Rochester in New York, Frederick G. Burton had a successful career as a research scientist and lab manager. A lifelong Presbyterian and a native of Pennsylvania, Dr. Burton moved to Utah in 1989. While attempting to explore the history of Presbyterians in his new home state, the author realized that there was no book that provided such an overview, and so he decided to write the volume himself. Now retired, the author has been previously published in a number of scientific journals. This is his first book.
