She has been teaching for twelve years, teaching for four and a half years in Wisconsin prior to teaching at Highland Park. Her eight years of experience teaching AP Biology is supported by experience teaching Anatomy and Physiology, Vertebrate Zoology, Chemistry, Honors Biology, and ESL Biology. Along with as Master of Education in Curriculum Leadership and Instruction, Beth also received a Masters of Science in Science Education in the Spring of 2010. Katherine Silber is a member of the Highland Park High School Science Department in Highland Park, Illinois. She has been teaching for seven years and comes to AP Biology with a Master's degree in Biology and Education. She was an AP exam reader in 2007. Katherine has published two research articles based on her thesis work, ""Intra-specific host sharing in the manipulative parasite Acanthocephalus dirus: does conflict occur over host modification?"" Parasitology 2004 (129, 1-6) and ""Development-related effects of an acanthocephalan parasite on pairing success of its intermediate host"" Animal Behavior 2006 (71, 439-448). Kevin McLean is currently teaching at Lakes Community High School in Lake Villa, Illinois. He has been teaching Biology for eleven years and AP Biology for three years. He participated in a summer AP Biology Workshop at Loyola University of Chicago, Illinois, in 2008, and attended the Advanced Placement Annual Conference in San Antonio, Texas in 2009. Robert Doltar retired from teaching in 2009 after teaching Biology and AP Biology for thirty-two years--twenty-four of them at Grant High School in Portland, Oregon, where he served as Science Department Chairman. Robert has also developed an array of six software programs known as the BioLab Series, which are marketed by Carolina Biological. These include the popular BioLab Frog, a dissection simulation, and BioLab Fly, a genetics investigation." Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
