Prepaired and Preserved

Overview

Tested. Broken. Preserved. Denis Palmer was told he would not survive. He was told that if he lived, he would never walk again. He stood the next day. Prepared and Preserved is the quiet testimony of a man who endured catastrophic injury, loss, and spiritual testing - and discovered that guidance does not shout, it steadies. This memoir is about resilience, obedience, and becoming refined rather than shattered.

Author Information

introduction for Dennis L. Palmer: Dennis L. Palmer was born in 1952 in Idaho and spent his formative years in Oregon. From an early age, Dennis demonstrated an independent and questioning mind. In first grade, he challenged a teacher who insisted he had spelled his own name incorrectly-a small but telling moment that foreshadowed a lifetime of critical inquiry. Throughout elementary and high school, Dennis continued to identify inconsistencies in conventional teachings, from the explanation of how curved surfaces generate lift to the rules governing multiplication of positive and negative numbers. In high school science class, he questioned the claim that electricity travels at the speed of light. His reasoning was simple but compelling: if electricity truly moved that fast, you wouldn't be able to watch a spark travel across a spark plug gap-yet you can observe its movement and direction, something impossible with light-speed phenomena. Dennis pursued formal training in electronics, beginning at United Electronics and continuing through the Marine Corps and IBM. During his early career as a customer engineer for IBM, he identified fundamental flaws in established electrical theory. Later, he discovered similar problems in motor-generator theory. These insights weren't merely academic observations-they led to practical breakthroughs. Dennis developed innovative motor technologies and motor control systems based on corrected understandings of magnetic principles and properties. His work has resulted in approximately 40 patents worldwide, representing a significant contribution to the field built on his willingness to question what others accepted as fact.
