OverviewIt was 1817 and there was only one place for those condemned to insanity, the York Retreat. According to folklore, nobody ever left the asylum but Henry Gilchrist wouldn't allow his sister to be sentenced to such a fate. He was hopeful there was a cure for her disease and it only had to be found. Although he would shame his family and faith, it was a sacrifice he would make. Henry must steal his sister away and ride into the wilderness, where she may be freed. He needed to restore her back as she once was. But if he failed, she would be forced into a mental asylum; a timeless reality built from stone walls and solidarity. She would be lost forever.
