Sara Gesuato, Ph.D. (1999), is associate professor of English language at the University of Padua, Italy. Her research interests include pragmatics, discourse analysis and corpus linguistics. She has investigated expressive speech acts, academic genres and catenative verb constructions. Francesca Bianchi, Ph.D. (2012), Lancaster University, is lecturer of English language and translation at the University of Salento, Italy. Her research interests include corpus linguistics and audiovisual translation. She has recently published a volume titled Culture, corpora and semantics .
