The text is designed for students of German with a good basic command of communicative and oral skills now seeking to consolidate their knowledge of key grammatical structures of German. The selection of exercises caters for a number of different learning strategies and includes both practice of essential grammatical structures and also text-based exercises and projects by which students are encouraged to discover grammatical regularities themselves. Many are based on real-life sources such as newspapers, business literature and 20th-century novels, and should allow students to gain an authenitc sense of current usage.
