One of the most creative, imaginative, and deeply theological works that you will find for laity and clergy alike. Davis is concerned that, as he calls it, 'Evangelicalism 3.0' develop with a sound theology, experience, and affective life. This means that Enlightenment rationalism must not prevent the church in the West from living into the very ordinary supernatural presence of God. An inspiring book with which to start one's theological studies, or to pray through as a church. Davis is motivated to help bring about a church that is globalized, diversified, and energized. Handle with care. --Scott W. Sunquist, President and Professor of Missiology, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary In Practicing the Ordinary Supernatural Presence of God, you will be inspired by one of the Christian faith's leading theological minds who has not lost the fire in his soul. --Barry H. Corey, President, Biola University, and author of Love Kindness: Discover the Power of a Forgotten Christian Virtue
