Learning goals, also presented in small tables, are defined at the beginning of each section. An impressive number of sonographic images and explanatory drawings are displayed. These illustrations are of high quality. The clarity and pedagogical value of the diagrams must be underlined. Another major interest of this book is the very practical advice that is given concerning both the general progression of an ultrasound examination and the current technical problems that may arise, which is particularly useful for the beginners and often not mentioned in other textbooks on sonography.
