He serves as the Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases, and Director of Research for the Department of Healthcare Epidemiology and Infection Prevention. Dr Lautenbach's research focuses on healthcare-associated infections by antibiotic-resistant pathogens. Preeti N. Malani, MD, MSJ, is the University of Michigan's Chief Health Officer and Professor of Internal Medicine. She is also Director of the National Poll on Healthy Aging based at the Institute for Health Policy and Innovation. Dr Malani's clinical and research interests include infection prevention, surgical site infections, and health care policy. Keith F.
