He is a journalist, author, photographer, and television producer. In 1983 he began publishing Windspeaker, a Canadian magazine covering Aboriginal [Native American] issues, and he is founder and CEO of the Aboriginal Multimedia Society of Alberta. He established Alberta's first Aboriginal radio station (CRWE-FM), and he produced the documentary series, Quest of Buffalo Spirit.
