Author Information

Professor Farhad Shahnia received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Queensland University of Technology (Australia) in 2011. Since 2015, he has been at the School of Engineering and Energy, Murdoch University, Perth, Australia. Prior to that, he was a lecturer at Curtin University (Australia, 2012-15), and a research fellow at Queensland University of Technology (Australia, 2011). He has published 8 books, 13 book chapters, and 200+ scholarly journal and conference articles.   Professor Yilu Liu received her Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Ohio State University, US, in 1989. She is the UT-ORNL Governor’s chair professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and the deputy director of the Center for Ultra-Wide-Area Resilient Electric Energy Transmission Networks at the University of Tennessee. She was named an IEEE fellow in 2003 and elected to the National Academy of Engineering in 2016, and a member of the National Academy of Inventors in 2017. She has published 450+ technical reports and papers.   Professor Paolo Attilio Pegoraro has received his Ph.D. in electronic and telecommunication engineering from the University of Padova, Italy, in 2005. From 2015 to 2018, he was an assistant professor at University of Cagliari, Italy, where he is currently an associate professor. He has authored 8 book chapters and 200+ papers. He is an Associate Editor in Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement and the General Chair of the IEEE international workshop on applied measurements for power systems (AMPS).
