Table of ContentsReviewsEmphasizing how our past is crucial to determining our future, this unique set looks at how technology has changed over the last century and considers how continued technological advancements will affect life on Earth over the course of the next 100 years. Fictionalized futurologist Luna Li, the central character, helps a diverse group of students--and by extension, the audience--think critically about what is likely to continue and what could plausibly change in each volume's three distinct sections: Where Have We Been? Where Are We Going Next? and By the Year 2120. The graphic format is both entertaining and highly accessible, demystifying potentially complex ideas. . . .Thought provoking and engaging, this standout series would be a solid purchase to introduce readers to this relatively unfamiliar discipline.-- School Library Journal The series is well written and illustrated and uses a graphic novel format to draw in both the non-interested reader as well as the lower reading level reader. For these reasons alone, the series would be worthwhile resources for a teacher to have. But beyond this, the science is good and the ideas are valuable for all students, regardless of reading level. Definitely a win-win-win for the teacher, the science, and the student!! Every middle school to early high school teacher of science needs to have access to this set of books. In the classroom is great but in the school library also works. A definite thumbs up for this series as a whole but also each book individually.-- NSTA Recommends Author InformationAlan Brown, is a freelance illustrator who has created artwork for Disney, Warner Bros. and the BBC, while continuing to provide illustrations for children's books and comics.
