OverviewA panel set up to focus on NGO capacity-building invited individuals to present papers describing their actual experiences. This was so as to understand how capacity-building is implemented in practice and in reality, and to discover what works and why. The term ""capacity-building"" has become synonymous with ""development"" in many circles. Many NGOs are prioritizing capacity-building, so a careful analysis of capacity-building helps others to learn from mistakes and successes.
