He is the author of Pottery and Social Life in Medieval England: Towards a Relational Approach (Oxbow Books, 2014) and co-editor of Objects, Environment and Everyday Life in Medieval Europe (2016), Food and Drink in Archaeology 4 (2015) and Make-do and Mend: Archaeologies of Compromise, Repair and Re-use (2012). He has been involved in the analysis of major pottery assemblages from the Anglo-Saxon sites at Bishopstone (East Sussex) and Lyminge (Kent) as well as medieval pottery from excavations in Southampton.
