OverviewThe shared management research aims to optimise conservation and encourage environmental education (EE) through partnerships between the public sphere of Monge State Park (PE) and the private sphere of the Uru Private Natural Heritage Reserve (RPPN), located in the municipality of Lapa, Paraná, Brazil. The methodology consisted of proposing guidelines for shared management in conservation units, in three stages: diagnosis, planning, and monitoring. This research suggests actions through the lines of knowledge (research and environmental education), control (inspection and protection), operationalisation (administration, communication and economic sustainability), as well as monitoring, with the aim of making the necessary adjustments and proposing future actions. It is hoped that shared management will be established through the mobilisation of management bodies in the implementation of policies, action plans, and research and EA projects. The administration of connectivity between the two areas will represent the enhancement of conservationist actions and the encouragement of EA, resulting in the maintenance of ecosystems and the sustainable use of natural resources.
