Post-Flood Migration and Biogeography of American Tortoises: A Biblical Perspective

Overview

Literature that attempts to explain the world around us from a Biblical point of view is quite rare. To make matters worse, only a small percentage of that is written by those who adhere to a literal interpretation of Genesis chapters 1-11. Typically, Christians who fit that label have to read from authors who do not share the same presuppositions of the Earth's past. But that isn't the case here. The research behind this book assumes that the Bible is inerrant and divinely inspired, that Genesis chapters 1-11 record a literal, historical narrative, and that the created world can be properly interpreted when the previous two assumptions are consistently applied. So dive in and see the world from a Biblical perspective!

Author Information

Timothy McCollister didn't grow up in a Christian environment. After graduating high school, he enlisted into the United States Army where he was eventually selected to be a sniper for the 10th Mountain Division. During his first deployment to Afghanistan, another sniper from his section was killed in a direct - contact ambush. At that moment, he began to search out the deeper meanings of life. After his second deployment he decided to invest in that search for truth by devoting his entire GI Bill to go to college to discover whether God is real, or fictitious. It did not take long before he became convinced of His existence. And once he discovered his purpose, he transferred over to the Institute for Creation Research, and received a B.C.Ed. in Christian Education and Apologetics. He then attended Trinity College of the Bible and Theological Seminary where he received a Master of Arts degree in Pulpit Communication and Expository Preaching and a Ph.D. in Christian Philosophy and Apologetics.
