Possessed By Eternity: The Tale of Nicky Nagg

Overview

In Eternity, there is a place known as The Guff-a place where spirits await the mortal body they will assume in life. The ""Nursery, as the immortals call it, has one function: for spirits to lie in wait. One spirit, however, did no such thing. This spirit would wait for the guardians of the Guff to cycle down the watch as each spirit needed a great deal of rest before it went through its transmutation into a soul. The wandering spirit had a habit of spying on the inhabitants of Eternity. It was caught spying on the prominent incarnations, Nature, Evil, Time, and Death. It learned many secrets from the incarnations. At first, they were all amused and nicknamed it the Nagg spirit. Still, when the time came for his group of spirits to begin their transmutation in preparation for the mortal realm, the Incarnations decided that the Nagg spirit had garnered information that would have been catastrophic for a new soul to know. The Incarnations decided that the Nagg must never leave Eternity, and they would find a menial task for it in Eternity. Unbeknownst to the Incarnations, the Nagg was spying on them when they made this decision. Infuriated by the ruling, the nimble spirit found another spirit about to depart for the mortal realm. The Nagg hijacked the harmonic frequency that served as an address beacon and homed in on a family about to give birth to a son, Nicky Cuca. The Nagg usurped the intended spirit's place and melded with the child with his knowledge of eternity, and so was born Nicky Nagg, son of the unknown
