Author Information

The Pork Checkoff, administered by the National Pork Board, harnesses the resources of all producers to capture opportunity, address challenges, and satisfy customers. The Purdue University Cooperative Extension Service is part of a network of colleges, universities, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, serving communities and counties across America by providing programs in agriculture and natural resources, consumer and family sciences, economic and community development, and 4-H youth. The Center for Pork Excellence (USPCE) was established for the purpose of bringing about a higher level of cooperation and collaboration among and between universities, the pork production industry, and government. By addressing the issues most important to producers today, the USPCE is achieving its mission of providing producers the resources they need to maintain a successful pork production operation.
