OverviewPope Francis was the Pope for 12 years (2013–2025), Argentinian by birth but during his 12 years as Pope he never returned to his homeland. The book by prominent Australian Jesuit, Frank Brennan, writes about Francis papacy as a fellow Jesuit. He writes as Jesuit reflecting on Francis’ papacy and his life as a Jesuit when he was appointed as provincial of the Jesuits in Argentina at the age of 36. Brennan refers to Francis’ papacy as being one of a ‘disruptor’ in the life of the Catholic Church. Brennan writes in his conclusion ‘[Francis] left us a wonderful roadmap for pilgrims in an evangelising church committed to care for our common home by being fraternal and in solidarity with all, especially those on the frontiers and peripheries which are the privileged centres of grace.’ ‘At the papal funeral, Cardinal Re said: ‘The guiding thread of his mission was also the conviction that the Church is a home for all, a home with its doors always open.’ ‘[Francis] left us all with more than enough signs to guide us on our pilgrim way. Thank you Francis. Rest in peace.’ Full Product DetailsAuthor: Frank Brennan, SJPublisher: ATF Press Imprint: ATF Press Weight: 0.612kg ISBN: 9781923385986ISBN 10: 1923385984 Pages: 100 Publication Date: 01 November 2025 Audience: General/trade , General Format: Paperback Publisher's Status: Forthcoming Availability: Not yet available ![]() This item is yet to be released.
