Author Information

Vanessa Tait is a journalist and labour activist in Berkeley, California. Her radio work has appeared on Free Speech Radio News, Workers Independent News Service, Pacifica Network News, and Bay Area Pacifica station KPFA. She has also written for a variety of print media, including New Labor Forum, Critical Sociology, the Boston Phoenix and the Guardian Newsweekly. Tait is also a trained librarian, who has specialized in collections of South East Asian writers. She received her Ph.D. in sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
