This is a charming story which children will love and adults will also really enjoy. Without giving too much away. The story is of a girl trying to save a horse amongst her other troubles, everyone knows that you need big deep pockets to own a horse but do you? Perhaps a miracle could happen, but maybe science can help. This is a well written adventure story easily readable in an afternoon perfect with a cup of tea and a slice of cake, the narrative is descriptive without slowing the pace and yes you do want to know what is going to happen next as the possibilities race through your mind. Children will adore this story resulting in many well thumbed copies sitting on bookshelves, throughout Lillie's adventure many thought provoking subjects occur making you think but without taking anything from the story's progression these are friendship, bullying, the environment, recycling, animal welfare and that there's always hope a really enjoyable read that I am delighted to recommend. 5 Stars
