J.B.P. More obtained his doctorate in history from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, Paris. He currently teaches at Inseec, Paris. He specializes in history, sociology and politics of southern and colonial India. He has authored more than 22 books and 50 articles in English, French and Tamil.
