Overview

Learning to Skate is Fun! Bobby and his little brother Kita go to the frozen pond to meet their friend Allie. Kita can't wait to play ice hockey but first he must learn to skate. Bobby shows Kita how by demonstrating the correct movements. Kita gets the hang of it and zooms around the ice while Bobby and Allie play hockey. Soon Kita wants to play, too, so they pass him the puck.

Author Information

About the authors: Robert and Erik, a father/son creative team, designed books and collaborated on writing and art projects until Robert's death in 2021. They both learned to skate on frozen ponds, flooded playgrounds and the local ice rink. When he was very young Erik would sometimes reach up and hook his finger through his father's belt loop and they flew around the ice together at superhuman speeds.
