OverviewThe annual increase in the relative rates of overall mortality from CVD among the working-age population of the Republic of Uzbekistan is alarming, in particular, from 59.1% (82,036 people) in 2009 to 59.3% (79,239 people) in 2013 (Kurbanov R.D., 2013). Among patients with hypertension (HTN), major depression is detected in 15-25% of cases and symptoms of minor depression in 27% (Burg MM et al., 2010). Anxiety is recorded in 50% of hospitalized patients with acute coronary syndromes (ACS), as a complication of hypertension, which is obviously associated with a threat to the life and ability to work of patients. Signs of stress were determined in 75% of patients with acute coronary syndromes, which pose a serious threat to life. After acute coronary syndrome, signs of post-traumatic stress disorder were detected in 12% of patients one year later (Wikman A. et al., 2009).
