OverviewThis book attempts to explain the social reality of organ harvesting killings during major social and political events in Gabon. This practice is referred to as ""ritual crimes"". To understand the phenomenon of body consumption, as perceived by Gabonese ethnocultures, the study analyzes the social and political representations linked to social movements to protect the dead body of André Mba Obame in the streets of Libreville in April and May 2015. The originality of this research is to demonstrate that the discourse on the appropriation of the virtues of the dead, would still not escape objectivity and rationality as we seem to believe. According to the Fang imaginary, it is a necessary, useful and understandable phenomenon for any elitist individual with ambitions of social domination at the political and economic level.
