Author Information

Brendan Prendiville is Senior Lecturer at the University of Rennes 2, France. His research focuses on political ecology and environmentalism in Britain and France from a political/sociological perspective. He has published two books, Environmental Politics in France (1994) and L'Ecologie: la politique autrement? Culture, sociologie et histoire des ecologistes (1993). He is also the author of a number of articles, including Ecologism in Political Ideologies in Contemporary France (1997); Mouvements sociaux et politique routiere dans la Grande-Bretagne des annees 1990 in Le Demon Moderne (edited by G. Massard Guilbaud; 2002); Ecocitizenship in the UK in Citoyen ou consommateur: les mutations rhetoriques et politiques au Royaume Uni (edited by Tim Whitton and Raphaelle Espiet; 2006); and Rural Protest in England in The English Countryside: Representations, Identities, Mutations (edited by David Haigron, 2017).David Haigron is Senior Lecturer in British Studies at the University of Rennes 2, France. His PhD focused on British Party Election and Political Broadcasts , and his research explores political communication and social representations in the media. He is the editor of The English Countryside: Representations, Identities, Mutations (2017) and The UK's Political Landscape in the 21st Century: Players, Strategies, Achievements (LISA e-journal 12 (8), 2014). He co-edited Social Class on British and American Screens: Essays on Cinema and Television (with Nicole Cloarec and Delphine Letort, 2016) and Strategies et campagnes electorales en Grande-Bretagne et aux Etats-Unis (with Renee Dickason and Karine Riviere-De Franco, 2009).
