Jyoti Rana is currently serving as Assistant Librarian in the HNBGU Garhwal University, a central government university in her home state of Uttrakhand. She is also a Ph.D. Scholar in the Department of Library and Information Science, University of Delhi. She was a JRF scholar in the department and has taught Library Cataloguing Theory to students of class B.L.I.Sc for two consecutive Academic sessions. She received the Gopala Krishna Medal and Professor S. Das Gupta Medal in Library Science for being the best candidate in B.LI,Sc. and M.L.I.Sc. in the Department of Library and Information Science, University of Delhi. She graduated with Distinction in M.Sc. Applied Microbiology and Immunology from Banasthali University. Her area of research incorporates Scientometrics, Research output analysis, scientific productivity, etc and contributes papers in the National and International publications.
