OverviewBack in the early to mid-seventies I was going to college under the GI Bill. I remember telling someone in The Place for Steak, a bar in Whitefish, Montana: 'In High School we were taught What think. "" ""In College we are taught How to think."" The following poems were written while I was attending The University of Montana in the mid to late 1970s. They cover everything from unrequited love to religious dichotomies through philosophical ponders and odes covering everything from God to slugs. I recently saw the movie The Big Short, which was about the 2008 Stock Market Crash. There was a in quote in the movie I loved. It was overheard in a Washington DC bar: Truth is like poetry. And most people fucking hate poetry. Ironically, I have written five books of quotes I have heard in the bars I have worked in and all other ventures of my life. I am also aware how most people feel about poetry, but figure why not publish a book of poems for the few others.
