OverviewPoemCity Anthology 2024 is a collection of poems featured in PoemCity, the Kellogg-Hubbard Library's annual celebration of National Poetry Month during the month of April. These poems by Vermonters of all ages-from age three to ninety-four!-were part of the walkable display showcased in the windows of businesses in downtown Montpelier, Vermont. This celebration of poetry and community includes published poets, former poet laureates, K-12 students, as well as new poets just starting to put pen to paper, and hail from seventy-five Vermont cities and towns. KHL has operated continuously as a library since 1895, with only brief interruptions for a polio epidemic in 1917, the Spanish Flu in 1918, the great flood of 1927, the Flood of 1992, and the Covid-19 pandemic of 2020.
