"Pocket Mouse is an extraordinary, ordinary mouse. At least to her human bestie, lovingly referred to as BFF Julie, to be extraordinary. Of course, for Julie & Pocket, it was love at first sight. Thus, the tale, or should I say, ""tail"" of an inseparable friendship began. And, of course, Pocket's name came about from that chance day Julie and she adopted each other. Sunday-Funday was the greatest day ever! Julie and Pocket love to sing, dance, color, play and go to school. Education is important, as you can often heard the two say: ""GIRLS GOT GOALS."" Most of all the girls cannot wait until daddy comes home. They count down the days on their special calendar until reunited with daddy, SSGT. Stone, who is deployed overseas. Until they can be with daddy again, the girls and mom, Annabelle, send care packages and write letters to daddy and his soldiers. "Northern New York native, Christine, blossoming author from her early childhood days, nurtured by her Gramma Mary, Nana, encouraged her visits to the local library during her summer visits to her favorite little nook, the cottage on the river in Chaumont, NY. Reading became the rainy-day distraction that sparked her love of fantasy and a way to immerse herself to view words of text on pages to take her away on adventures and to dream of the visions the books portrayed. Writing was a secret passion of hers, starting with small plays, poems and stories. When she became a mom, reading books and telling made up stories to her children was her favorite and most memorable time spent with her boys. Christine still stores those books from days past when her boys were little, awaiting to be dusted off and rediscovered through the eyes and wonderment of her someday grandchildren. Pocket Mouse sparked when her children left for college and husband was deployed in the US Army. Her compassion for rescuing animals, honoring loved ones who passed, military connection, strong community roots and family first, definitely influenced the text of the stories. Pocket Mouse began its lines but was then set aside when life happened but was always a bright light that needed to shine. When not writing you can be sure to see her enjoying her favorite hot cocoa or chai tea and blueberry muffin alone or with her BFF Valerie. Often spending much wonderful priceless time with family, friends and her beloved pups, whom are all rescues. Or, simply setting on the shore overlooking the waters of the Chaumont River where she calls the best place on earth. Utopia does exist! Pocket Mouse is currently a series of four books.
